J.J. is kissing Bev in a clearing as Paige shows up at the party looking for Daphne. Rory warns her that J.J. is there. J.J. and Bev continue to make out and someone catches them. It's a guy named Kyle. He asks to talk to her in private. Daphne tries to get Paige to stay. Paige tells her she can meet guys another way and they go to the square and look at her dating app. Daphne asks Paige why she keeps turning down guys that like her page on the app. Bev comes back and J.J. asks her what that was. He asks if he is her dealer and she says yes. She tells him she had to get some stuff for friends for a 4th of July party. He tells her he doesn't care what she does, but he won't touch it again. She kisses him.
Stefano is in the study telling someone there has been a snag with Abigail. Chad enters and wonders why he is there, and he says he is back for good.He tells him the charges have been dropped and notices Chad doesn't seem happy. He tells him he is as long as Stefano accepts that him and Abigail are through. He tells him he has no ulterior motive and that Abigail is a little whore. Chad tells him not to ever call her that again. Chad tells him that they will avoid talking about Abigail, and Stefano agrees. Chad leaves the room.
Xander tries to enter the space that Eric and Nicole are hiding in by pulling off the vent. He can't get it off and prepares to shoot his way in. Xander shoots but the gun is jammed. He can't use Navidad's because it doesn't have a silencer, and he gets an idea. He barricades them in, and he turns on the furnace full blast. He tells them they will suffocate to death eventually. Nicole begs him not to do this. He tells her she played with fire so she is getting burned. They leave to cover their tracks and Eric tries to open the vent. He can't and Nicole panics. Eric takes off his shirt to cover the heat vent in the room to try to block the hot air. Nicole says no one is coming until morning, and that won't work long. Eric is determined to not stop trying and they call for help.
Abigail has flashbacks about both Chad and Ben. She reassures herself that she loves Ben and calls him. He tells her he was just thinking of her as he holds some flowers. He tells her he will head over to her place right now. Abigail and Ben kiss after she agrees to move in, and she has another flashback to Chad. She tells him she needs to be alone to break the news to her mom. He says she can spend the night after she tells her and leaves. She decides she has to do one thing first.
Brady tells Theresa her place isn't ready for a baby to move into yet. Theresa defends herself, and Brady tells her she needs more time to get things together. He tells her that for a few days, her and Tate should move in with him. He tells her that she needs to get things set up or find a bigger apartment. She smiles with her back turned and acts like she is being defensive. She tells him she will think about it. Brady tells her he overheard her talking to Anne, and he wants her to be the best mom she can be to Tate. He tells her he is still furious. She agrees to move in for a few days. Brady says they will meet at the hospital tomorrow morning and leaves. Theresa giddily screams and jumps up and down. (Not sure how Brady didn't hear that.) Anne comes back over and Theresa tells Anne the good news. She breaks open a bottle of wine. Anne asks her what she means that she will only be there for a few days. Theresa says anything can happen in a few days.
Paige tells her that she has liked one guy. Daphne sees that he is much older, but Paige tells her she knows what she is doing. Daphne leaves to go home. J.J. comes into the square and Paige tells him she is surprised that he isn't still at the party. He asks about the yogurt job, and she tells him it is none of his business. He tells her he wants to be civil. Paige tells him to go to hell and walks away. J.J. walks away also and appears to be being watched by someone.
J.J, and Bev keep making out, but J.J. stops her. They both say things are moving too fast. J.J. tells her that if they hooked up he would only be using her. He doesn't want to keep making the same mistakes. She tells him that he should go get some rest, and he leaves.
Chad goes back into the study to ask Stefano a business question but he isn't there. He gets a text from Abigail who wants to meet to talk. He tells her they can meet in the garden. She leaves to meet him. Chad has a flashback while waiting on Abigail. She arrives.
Eric and Nicole began to cough. They are sweating and Eric apologizes. She hates she pushed Daniel away and hopes Daniel knows how much she loves him. Eric tells her that he is sure Daniel knows. Nicole and Eric undress down to their underwear, and Nicole apologizes. Eric tells her it was his fault and he wasn't fair to her. He tells her that he was in denial about his feeling for her and that's why he didn't stay a priest. He tells her she has always been the love of his life, and she agrees. She thanks him for loving her and being strong. She is glad to be with someone who loves her at the end, and they kiss. Meanwhile Navidad and Xander clean up fingerprints, and Xander says they will be dead within the hour. Nicole and Eric make out in the crawl space. Xander gets a text from Daniel for Nicole and Eric asking them where they are. He says out loud it will be too late for Daniel to figure it out. Nicole tells Eric that he is making her feel loved even in this moment. Nicole gets dizzy, and she says they are dying.
So, I really love Eric and Nicole together, but I hate they are doing it like this again, ugh! They deserve a much better story. Nicole should have continued saying she loved Daniel, but I guess she thinks she is going to die so it makes her too honest, ugh! Tired of Chad and Abigail. I have no idea why she would go over there and why Chad would let her knowing Stefano is back. What do you think?
