Abigail and Melanie Meet Up and Marlena Arrives in Italy to Face Stefano!

So today was more entertaining than yesterday. Marlena finally wisens up, and Melanie and Abigail remember that are friends! I really miss the good story lines between their age group. Here is the recap: 

Hope is meeting with Rafe to thank him for his help on a case. He asks if she thought about what he said about Clyde and tells him not to let Clyde make problems with Aiden. Ciara says Hope already blew it. Rafe tells her to go get them both a chocolate croissant. He asks what happened with Aiden and Hope says it did have to do with Clyde. Rafe says that Clyde is entitled to a lawyer, and Hope says it is hard to talk about work with Aiden. She doesn’t she know how to fix it. Rafe tells her to forget about it and focus on Aiden. Rafe said Clyde is like Stefano so she won’t have any luck there anywhere. She should fix things before she leaves town. Ciara agrees. Hope and Rafe tell her not to talk to her mom like that. Rafe says he will watch what he says next time, and Hope gets ready to take her to school. Ciara wants to know if she is going to talk to Aiden and she says yes. 

Clyde goes to meet with Aiden. He tells him he needs to talk. Aiden tells him something came up in his personal life, and Clyde asks if it had to do with his son. He talks about the photo and says that is how he knew. He asks questions about Chase’s mom’s death. He regrets not being there for Ben. There is a knock at the door and it’s Ben. Ben wants to change his last name. Aiden gets a photo of all of them on his phone and it seems to have come from Chase. He contemplates calling Hope.

Abigail and Melanie meet up in the square and talk about the whole Brady baby situation. Melanie asks how Abby is doing and she tries to say she is fine, but in reality Melanie can tell that she isn’t. Abby says her life is confusing. They talk about Chad and how hard things are hitting him. She tells her what happened. Melanie says maybe it’s because of the hard time her and Ben have been going through. They go shopping for Ariana’s second birthday.

Kate comes to see Chad about hiring Lucas. She tells him she wasn’t happy with the news and they talk about why Chad hired him. Kate apologizes about what happened to Kristen. Chad says she still seems to want to turn him against Stefano. Kate says she is only there because she cares about him. He tells her, he isn’t her son.

Sonny is on the phone with Will who is in Poplar Bluff on a very old fashioned looking laptop. Someone knocks at the door, and it’s Paul. He tells Will it isn’t the sitter at the door but he has to go. Will says I love you, but Sonny just says me too and hangs up. Paul asked if he knew Will was out of town, and he says no. Arian cries and Sonny goes to get her while Paul looks at a picture of their family. Paul asks to hold Ariana, and they mention that she is in her terrible 2’s. Paul came over to see Will and asks if he knew he would be coming. He asks why he didn’t tell Will he was coming. He bounces Ariana and spills chocolate milk on his shirt. (Really Paul? Just get out of there.). He tells Paul to take his shirt off to wash it, and he says he didn’t tell Will because a cab was waiting. He lets him know that he is committed to Will. Paul said Sonny said he would always care about him and Sonny agrees. Sonny thanks him for all he did and says he only wants him to be happy. Sonny tells him he got must of the chocolate milk out and gives him a shirt. Paul asks about Will’s career, and Sonny tells him he wishes he would stop writing about locals. Paul asks to take Arianna out of the chair, while someone knocks at the door. It’s Melanie and Abigail and they are surprised to see Paul there.

Marlena is knocked out from the drugged tea of course. (You would think she has been through enough of these types of things to pick up on it by now!). Marlena wakes up as they land and calmly asks what was put in her tea. The mysterious guy says she will be answering questions here about what happened with Kristen. She is brought back to the mansion and asks why she was brought there. The guy leaves and Stefano shows up. Marlena says she should have known. (Yes, you should have!). He tells her his life isn’t easy, and Marlena apologizes about him loosing Kristen. Marlena says she assumes she is there to explain what happened, and Stefano says is that what you assume? (What is wrong with her? She has been so calm all this time!).

Will asks the waitress if she would mind answering questions. He asks what the locals think of Clyde but the waitress says she has to get back to work and leaves.

 Hope goes to see Aiden and apologizes. Aiden says he should have realized she was only trying to make things easy. He says Clyde won’t be the last person he represents that she feels this way about. Hope says that are better off as friends, and Aiden agrees. Aiden says he hopes they can still be friends and Hope says good luck. He then grabs her and kisses her saying who is he kidding. Aiden gets a phone call and has clients waiting. He apologizes and Hope leaves. They are all smiles.

Paul says he just found out his dad was in Salem. He tells them John is his father. Melanie asks if his half-brother is Brady, and Paul says he saw him at the hospital. Melanie says she is his girlfriend and Daniel is his dad.

Kate tells Chad that she feels that they have a connection because of her past with Stefano. She says they have a special bond, and she just wants him to know she is there for him. He says thanks, and Kate says that she will still get him back for making Lucas her competition.

Marlena asks him if he just wants to talk to her because she is there. He says maybe he needs to refresh her memory. Marlena asks if he is threatening her children, and he says an eye for an eye. She reminds him that Sami is the mother of his grandchildren. Stefano agrees but says the children don’t need her as very dramatic music plays in the background. (Why is this not as scary as it should be?). He says he needs justice and asks for one reason not to kill her the same way she killed Kristen.

 Clyde’s flunky is on the phone with him and Clyde tells him he knows what to do as he looks at Will. Kate walks up as he hangs up and he kisses her grossly again. (EW!). He tells Kate what happened with Ben.

Rafe walks up to Ben and Ben tells him he is changing his name. He shows Rafe the paperwork. Ben tells him it is a done deal and what he wants. Rafe asks him what Jordan thinks, and he says he hasn’t told her yet.

Chad flashes back to Stefano saying he needs to keep things a secret. He invites Melanie over. She wants to know why, and says she is sorry for his loss. He wants her to tell him everything that happened.

Melanie fills Paul in and he asks if he should go back to the hospital. Melanie said to wait after the surgery. She gets a text and leaves. Paul says he is going to leave as well. He tells Ariana and Abby bye. Abigail asks about Paul. He tells her nothing was going on, and lets her know that Will isn’t there. Abigail says she knows that he is committed to Will, but she knows how things can be. Sonny says Will always leaves every time things start to get better but they will figure out a way.

Clyde’s flunky says he knows that Will has been asking questions, and Will says that Clyde wanted him to do so. They guy says he needs to come with him right away!
