Nicole and Xander Get Close as Cole and Eve Team Up to Destroy J.J.

Hope and Ciara are in the square when Hope gets a phone call about Clyde. She is overheard by Aiden talking about Poplar Bluff and Clyde. Ciara is ready to go since grandma and grandpa are waiting. Ciara and Chase go inside, and Hope assures him it has nothing to do with what she found out from him. They kiss and Ciara and Julie walk out as Ciara says see, I told you. Doug is singing a song to Chase as Hope, Aiden, Julie, and Ciara enter. He gets up to hug Hope and Ciara. They talk about how much they love cruises. They all have a toast, and Hope talks to Julie about how her and Aiden are good except for the work situation. She tells her to search for her inner harmony and Julie is glad she is happy.

Daniel goes to see Jennifer and welcome her home in her office at the hospital. She wants to talk to him about Eve. Jennifer tells him how Eve took the coat that J.J. had borrowed from Daniel the night of their first "encounter". She thinks Eve has strong feelings for J.J. She says Eve denied it but went crazy when asked about her feelings for J.J. He says the solution would be to tell her the truth. Jennifer doesn't want to do that and says that is not the solution. Daniel has an idea. He says Eve knows that he knows about it but doesn't know what he will do about it. Daniel says he is going to try to get her to go get help (great and original idea, right?). She asks about him and Nicole, and he says he is understanding how Nicole truly feels now. 

Eve is heading to her apartment and she has a flashback to her daughter telling her that she and J.J. had sex. She walks in the door and sees them having sex on the couch. It turns out to be a hallucination. Eve is going crazy throwing pillows as Cole arrives. She asks him if he likes Paige. He says he does. She wants them to get rid of J.J. permanently. They go over what they want to happen and how they don’t want to get caught. Cole says it sounds like Eve wants him to plant drugs on J.J. (I seriously hope they aren't going to have this same story line YET AGAIN! Ugh). They agree she will stay out of it, and she comes up with a plan to use disposable phones. She says everything will be decided later. She tells him to leave the apartment and make sure to not be seen. While waiting on the elevator, he calls someone and tells them to meet him in the park. Eve gets a text from someone that says to meet them at the hospital and it’s urgent. Eve texts back to see what’s going on. It’s from Theresa. She drinks a glass of wine and then bolts out of the door.

Nicole is on the phone with Xander who is in his hotel room with a towel on. He wants to meet privately at his room so no one gets hurt. He tells her to get there discretely. She tells him to give her a few minutes.

J.J. bounces over to Paige in the student union. She got a letter from Stanford saying she can start in the fall. J.J. also got a letter that he shows her and she kisses him passionately. He got accepted to San Jose University thirty minutes away from Stanford. He says they should leave as soon as possible instead of waiting until the fall. He tells her they could even find a place online. She’s not sure she wants to leave so suddenly though but agrees to think about it and let him know in a few days. They hug and kiss. She says her mom is having such a hard time dealing with everything, but they agree to stop talking about her.

Hope says she wishes they got to see her parents more often as they prepare to leave, I guess for another cruise. Doug says he insists the check is on him and tells Aiden to sing to Hope if she is ever unhappy. Hope and Aiden and the children leave. Julie and Doug hug and she is happy he got over his thing with Aiden. He is just glad to see her happy. Ciara and Chase run off to play as Hope and Aiden talk. She says it would be easier if one of them made some changes. Aiden says he thought they agreed not to deal with this today, but Hope is worried. He says he isn’t going to drop his client. He tells Chase they have to go. Ciara asks Hope what happened and she says she put her foot in her mouth.

Eve approaches Daniel at the hospital and asks about Theresa. He tells her she is fine and with Melanie. He tells her it is a long story. He gets a text saying they just landed. Jennifer walks up and asks her how she is. Daniel tells her he needs to call his mom and everything else needs to wait and she should just wait on Theresa to get there. He reminds her that everyone is fine. Jennifer tries to be supportive but Eve says she doesn’t care. Eve apologizes and says she has been thinking about what Jennifer said and she made a good point. She should just let Paige and J.J. work it out.

Nicole arrives at his Xander's hotel, and he has on a nice suit. He tells her to be honest and if what is going on between them is temporary to let him know so he can help her with Daniel. She asks why he is so protective of Daniel, and Xander says it is because of Victor. Nicole tells Xander that she and Victor used to be married, and now he hates her. She says their friendship has to stay private. He looks away. She asks if she should leave now but he says no. Then he tells her maybe she should leave and opens the door, but then he says he doesn’t want her to. (Make up your mind Xander!). He tells her he can’t hurt the people he cares about. He tells her sometimes one door closes as another opens.He inches closer and says he could tell her how he feels, but right now he would rather show her!

Cole sees J.J and Paige kissing as he walks down the stairs to the union. Apparently he already went to the park and got the drugs. Paige tells him the college news. J.J. gets up to go talk to someone and leaves his backpack. Cole says he missed Physics and says J.J. may have the notes in his bag. Paige says J.J. missed also, and she grabs his bag as they leave to go to a movie. Cole breaks into the Deveraux home and looks for somewhere to hide the stash of drugs as Paige sees on her phone that the movie is sold out. J.J. asks her if she wants to go back to his house. J.J. and Paige prepare to enter the house, talking loudly of course so Cole can get advanced warning as Cole looks around frantically. 

So we already know Cole isn't going to get caught, which is ridiculous as he was right by the door when J.J. took the key out. The whole thing with Daniel, Eve, and Jennifer is also boring. I don't care! I really hope J.J. and Paige leave soon for California, but I'm not sure they will ever leave. They will be about to leave when the truth comes out and ruins everything.
